Rachelle Loyear
Rachelle Loyear is a New York–based public speaker, author, and emerging performer. After years of speaking professionally on high-stakes topics that require presence, timing, and the ability to hold a room, she is now redirecting those same instincts toward the stage as a member of The Snarks... where she will (hopefully) soon be seen performing rather than observing the action from backstage.
Her background in live speaking has trained her in reading an audience, landing a line, and recovering gracefully when things go off-script, which turns out to be useful in both comedy and life. She is drawn to characters who are sharp, self-aware, slightly complicated, and occasionally undone by their own confidence.
Rachelle also practices aerial yoga, which means she is comfortable working both right-side up and upside-down (an ability she assumes will eventually be relevant onstage, if only metaphorically). She is especially interested in the moments where humor meets tension, where people reveal more than they meant to, and where control gives way to something more honest. She views performance as a chance to explore those moments with fewer rules and better lighting.
When she’s not preparing to step onstage, she continues to speak and write professionally about risk, resilience, and human behavior—topics that, it turns out, make an excellent foundation for stage-work of all kinds.
